On September 20, Rachel, along with trademark and patent expert Kala Sarvaiya, presented an intellectual property workshop for professional musicians at the AFM47 in Hollywood, to a packed house. Co-sponsored by the AFM47 and the California Jazz Foundation, Rachel and Kala provided practical tips about how copyright, trademark and patent laws affect music professionals, including how music pros can best protect their work and get paid for the use of their work. Thanks to all who came out and participated in this lively educational meeting.
